Team Summary:

The Program Development team at SFCG creates new business opportunities aligned with the Program Development Strategy. This team collaborates closely with in-country Directors and Managers to secure funding for programs addressing conflict geographies. From scoping and pre-positioning to award signing, the team develops program development strategies, engages with institutional donors, and strengthens the organization’s capacity in this domain.

Global Hub:

This position is part of the Global Hub within the Program Development team. The Global Hub provides essential support to SFCG’s fundraising efforts, focusing on grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts with institutional funders. Its vision is to enhance the organization’s business development through data-driven fundraising, effective partnerships, and targeted funding opportunities.


  • Provide support to the Global Business Development Hub.
  • Formulate funding opportunities from institutional donors.
  • Manage the Global Business Development budget.
  • Support knowledge management within the team.


  • Strategy Development: Conduct background research and support strategy processes.
  • Business Intelligence: Research and monitor donors, analyze funding opportunities, and ensure internal record-keeping.
  • Administrative: Maintain internal trackers, portal access, tools, and resources.
  • Knowledge Management: Ensure proper record-keeping, including in the Grants Management System (GMS).
  • Budget: Oversee the Global Business Development budget, tracking budgets vs. actuals and related components.
  • Partnerships: Support partnership discussions and conduct partner analysis.
  • Go/No-Go Decisions: Conduct background research, including competitor analysis.
  • Capture Planning: Conduct desk reviews and assemble pre-proposal material.
  • Program Design: Provide input and support, develop background material.
  • Proposal Development: Draft specific sections of proposals, lead-writes supporting material development.
  • Proposal Reviews: Participate in review teams.
  • Knowledge Management and Training: Track key program development data, prepare reports, and ensure proper record-keeping.

  • Usual office environment conditions; ability to travel internationally at least 20%.
