Background and Context:

ChildFund International, an international child-centered development organization, seeks to conduct a Midterm Review (MTR) of its Country Strategic Plan (2022-2026) in Kenya. ChildFund is part of the ChildFund Alliance, operating in 58 countries, assisting over 21 million children. In Kenya, it collaborates with 11 local implementing partners (LIPs) and 2 directly implementing Programs (DIPs) across 27 counties.

Growing Connections Strategy:

  • Aim: To reach 100 million vulnerable children and family members annually by 2030.
  • Three Strategic Directions:
    1. Scale child-centered programs
    2. Influence child development ecosystem
    3. Grow capabilities to scale impact

Purpose and Objectives of MTR:

  • Assess progress, challenges, and lessons learnt of the Country Strategic Plan.
  • Analyze alignment with global and national development priorities.
  • Identify programmatic shifts and recommendations for adjustments.

Methodology and Approach:

  • Utilize a participatory approach involving stakeholders.
  • Review secondary data, conduct community engagement, and workshops.
  • Assess progress towards objectives and compliance with child-centered principles.

Qualifications of Consultants:

  • Master’s degree in relevant fields.
  • 10+ years of experience in organizational change management and strategic planning.
  • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili, with superior communication and facilitation skills.

Payment Details:

  • Payment milestones upon submission and acceptance of key deliverables.
  • Payments subject to withholding tax and VAT as per Kenyan law.
