Background Information

The Micro-Enterprises Support Programme Trust (MESPT) has been supporting smallholder farmers and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) since 2002, aiming for sustainable development. MESPT identified a potential project in Siaya County targeting over 1200 farmers, with the capacity to impact more than 10,000. The Luanda Kina Water Supply Project involves water abstraction from River Nzoia, construction of a mains line, a reservoir tank, and distribution pipelines to households within Uranga, Siaya County.

Objectives of the Assignment

The consultancy aims to explore options for operationalizing the stalled Luanda Kina Water Supply Project, covering technical, economic, and financial aspects. It includes an environmental and social impact assessment, sustainability plans, and analysis of alternative interventions. Qualification and Competencies for the Team

Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and have at least 10 years of technical experience. Registration with the Institution of Engineers of Kenya is required. The firm must have at least 5 years of existence and provide references for similar work done in the last 5 years.
