Overall Responsibility

The Water & Habitat (WatHab) Course Coordinator leads the planning and delivery of all WatHab blended training courses, managing virtual learning resources, and supporting facilitation. They coordinate activities related to the Knowledge Hubs and oversee course administration in partnering universities.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate WatHab blended training courses.
  • Organize yearly training sessions, manage logistics, and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Monitor training work-planning and optimize operational efficiency.
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), update learning content, and oversee learning journeys.
  • Handle the learner lifecycle from application to final assignment.
  • Coordinate with external providers, manage course expenses, and facilitate contracts and invoicing.
  • Liaise with Strathmore University for partnership activities.
  • Represent ICRC externally and promote WatHab LnD activities.

Minimum Requirements and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering field or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in engineering project management, preferably in a humanitarian setting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in capacity building and training for engineering staff.
  • Networking and relationship management abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Autonomous work planning, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Reliability, responsibility, patience, perseverance, and team spirit.
  • Excellent computer skills and educational management knowledge.
