Job Purpose

The Deputy Manager, Compensation and Benefits will oversee day-to-day activities related to compensation and benefits, ensuring seamless operational execution and outstanding customer experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Bank’s HR strategy.
  • Support in managing the overall HR budget and reconciliation process.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Implement a competitive and cost-effective compensation and benefits strategy.
  • Manage employee benefits files, payroll processing, and benefits database maintenance.
  • Monitor administrative costs of benefits programs and recommend cost containment strategies.
  • Collaborate with HRIS service providers, IT, and other stakeholders to enhance technical competency.
  • Review staff allowance applications and liaise with staff members to advise on their applications.
  • Oversee payroll verification and ensure accuracy.
  • Support HR Annual Audit and implement communication tools to enhance understanding of benefits package.
  • Reconcile relevant payments and deductions in a timely manner.
  • Support benchmarking surveys for employee benefits and implement interventions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certified Human Resource Management Professionals (CHRP) qualification is advantageous.
  • Certified Public Accountant certification is required.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification relevant experience in a financial institution.

  • Experience in designing and administering compensation and benefits packages.
  • Strong understanding of different benefit plans and relevant regulations.
  • Knowledge of HR operational procedures and labour regulations.
