Job Summary

The Global Associate Director Strategic Planning plays a critical role in driving South Pole’s organizational performance by establishing and executing a robust strategic performance framework. This framework translates company goals into impactful drivers for strategic initiatives and provides a structure for evaluating core business processes’ efficiency.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report quarterly performance across diverse businesses.
  • Ensure outcomes align with overarching strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with an advanced analytics team to leverage insights for effective strategic planning.
  • Design, cascade, and monitor company goals, key performance drivers, and process execution.
  • Implement a South Pole-wide business performance framework in collaboration with business lines.
  • Identify and implement a system to track performance aligned with the established framework.
  • Connect the performance tracking system with strategic projects and overall company strategy.
  • Conduct training sessions for management personnel to ensure widespread understanding and active participation in the performance tracking system.
  • Engage with business leaders for regular reviews and assessments, setting stretch targets, and extracting lessons learned for continuous improvement.
  • Proactively engage with the Organizational Performance team and initiate change projects when necessary.
  • Provide support for in-depth data insights and ensure ongoing strategic projects are effectively measured through collaboration with the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).

Requirements

Essential:

  • Previous experience in management consulting is considered an asset.
  • Advanced degree in business, finance, or related field.
  • Proven track record in strategic planning and strong analytical mindset.
  • Independent and entrepreneurial with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Exceptional communication skills to inspire and align stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of global market dynamics and ability to anticipate industry changes.
