Quality Assurance & Extension Officer

The society invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the vacant position of Quality Assurance & Extension Officer

Duties and Responsibilities among others

  • Introduce, maintain quality and right quantity control procedures
  • Advising farmers on how to produce high yield quality milk
  • Supervision of quality control and extensions services staff
  • Planning of daily milk inspections
  • Maintenance of quality control records
  • Add value to members as dairy entrepreneurs

Minimum qualifications, experience and competencies: –

  • BSC degree in Food Science and Technology / Dairy Technology and Management from a recognized institution.
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a quality assurance supervisor/extension services preferably in a dairy set up
  • Knowledge and experience in HACCP and ISO management systems and Computer literacy
  • Knowledge and experience in Artificial Insemination services (A.I) is an added advantage.

Quality Assurance Supervisor

The society invites applications from suitable candidates to fill the vacant position of Quality Assurance Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities among others

  • Preparation of all standard solutions for use in analysis work
  • Monitor stocks of laboratory consumables and other additives for the production process
  • Ensure proper hygiene practices are observed and maintained for both the process and personnel by carrying out the hygiene audit and taking necessary action
  • Ensure that product analysis is done as per laid down procedures and standards
  • Follow up on process non-conformances
  • Carry out research and product development

Minimum qualifications, experience and competencies: –

  • BSC Food Science and Technology or related field
  • Higher National Diploma in Food Science & Technology or related field
  • Must have 3-4 years working experience in FMCG industry
  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office suites of packages
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Customer Oriented
