School Counsellor
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide psychosocial support to learners in primary schools.
- Ensure timely implementation of project activities.
- Support development of detailed implementation plans.
- Design and conduct appropriate trainings – peer-to-peer sessions, forums and other events to enhance psychosocial support interventions.
- Conduct regular clinical supervision and debrief sessions for incentive staff and protection/safeguarding focal teachers.
- Prepare and submit periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annual) reports of activities, evaluations, recommendations and action plans.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field
- Proven experience of minimum 2 years working with humanitarian and development programme.
- Certification and membership to professional body
- An impeccable professional standard of ethics as well as the willingness and ability to implement accountability activities within the LWF World Service essential.
COMPETENCIES
- Excellent computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, use of internet and email
- Excellent analytical, facilitation and documentation experience with humanitarian programmes.
- Excellent communication skills including influencing negotiation and pragmatism.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to liaise with a variety of people successfully and effectively in a multicultural set up.
- Ability to work independently with proven hands-on expertise in case management, gender sensitivity, child protection and safeguarding.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
Assistant Supply chain Officer
Job Summary
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all procurement aspects of the project based on LEF/DWS policies and guidelines.
- Ensure project proposals and budgets reflect procurement considerations.
- Develop and implement procurement plans
- Ensure integrity in the procurement process including quotation, negotiation, award and management of supply and service contracts
- Enhance the control systems in procurement by conducting regular market surveys and timely follow procurement regulations,
- Conduct timely performance evaluations for procurement assistants and implement staff development plans.
- Provide orientation to new staff and visitors on procurement issue for LWF Kakuma field office
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for procurement and status or as may be requested from time to time
- Source quotations from prequalified suppliers and analyze the data.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management plus membership to a professional recognized body
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in purchasing and supplies management.

Logistics & Procurement Officer
Duties And Responsibilities
- Managing all logistical aspects of the project, namely procurement, transport, stores, assets, properties, compound based on LWF/DWS policies and guidelines.
- Develop and implement the procurement plans ensuring project proposals and budgets reflect optimal logistical considerations.
- Manage and maintain the procurement and logistics database.
- Enhance the control systems in procurement, transport, stores, by conducting regular and timely checks and inspections.
- Maintain effective relationships with team members, agencies, partners and other stakeholders to ensure business optimization and continuity.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports to aid in management decision-making.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement, logistics or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience
- Professional certifications from KISM and/or CIPS.
COMPETENCIES
- Working knowledge of Project Management Cycle .
- Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with guidelines and clear expectations.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and other related programs.
