Job Purpose Statement

The Senior manager, Database Administration role is to lead in design, planning, implementation and support the all the databases in the organisation, and the related infrastructure. He/she should be an expert in operating databases in different platforms especially different operating systems, Cloud implementations, Storage platforms, and core database platforms. The role should design databases for the required performance, capacity management considerations, and should be capable to align the performance database requirements with the costs in implementing and supporting the platforms

Ideal Job Specifications

Academic:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Professional:

• ITIL, OCA, OCP, OCM, other relevant professional qualifications in IT field would be an added advantage
• Project Management certification and experience is preferred e.g. PRINCE2, PMP

Desired work experience:

• Five years’ experience in databases and storage support on medium to large organizations.
• Working experience in a bank or other financial services organization would be added advantage

Job Purpose Statement

Ensure focused attention on and closely monitor the performance of an assigned portfolio of all non-performing loans within the retail sector of the Bank. A clearly defined strategy for returning the accounts to performing status or exit must be documented and approved in each case.

Academic:

• University degree Upper 2nd Class Honors or 3.0 GPA

Professional:

• Relevant professional qualification in Banking, Risk Management and Law an added advantage

Desired work experience:

• At least 1 years work experience in a bank or financial services institution of which one year
• should have been in Remedial Management (Debt Collections and/or Recoveries
