DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing holistic care by carrying out risk identification and assessment of an Individual throughout the lifespan.
- Assessing, formulating, planning and implementing evidence-based nursing care for Client/Patient.
- Provide exceptional nursing care to Patients in accordance with Hospital Policies and Protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by Physicians.
- Monitor Patient progress and document observations accurately.
- Educate Patients and families about Health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
- Conducting Community Health Risk Assessment and providing outcome-based interventions.
- Documenting interventions, nursing outcomes and report writing.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in Patient care areas.
- Collaborate with other healthcare Professionals to ensure comprehensive Patient care.
- Handle emergency situations promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Infection Prevention and Control Standards.
- Participate in continuous Professional Development and Training Sessions.
- Contribute to the improvement of nursing care services through feedback and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized Institution.
- Registration Certificate issued by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Valid Nursing Council of Kenya License.
- At least 2 years of Clinical experience in a Hospital setting.
- Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized Institution
- Experience in specialized areas such as Maternity, Pediatrics, or Critical care will be an added advantage.
