Assistant Public Health Officers – 6 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities
- Mobilizing, sensitizing and advising communities on matters related to environmental health
- Referring health cases to relevant health facilities
- Coordinating immunization
- Identifying environmental health issues at community level
- Organizing community health days to advise and sensitize communities on common public health issues
- Collecting and maintaining up to date records of services rendered
- Assessing health needs of the community
- Implementing vector, vermin and rodent control measures, and
- Implementing integrated mosquito control strategies
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have;
- Diploma in Environmental Health Science or Public Health Technology from a recognized institution
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
Deputy Director Monitoring and Evaluation
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the design and the implementation of County Government of Migori Monitoring and Evaluation programs, strategies and policies in consultation with the Director and Chief Officer
- Coordinates the establishment of County Government of Migori Monitoring and Evaluation program policies, procedures and guidelines for all programs of the directorate.
- Oversee the development, review and update the Division’s budget and work plan to support its operations
- Coordinate the implementation of the Committee’s mandate as outlined in the committee’s strategic plan.
- Develop key accountability measures, set targets for the directorate and appraise staff against agreed set targets.
- Undertaking performance review of the department and appraisal of staff working under him/her.
- Provide input into the development of the department strategies, policies, service charter and guidelines to support the execution of its mandate.
- Interpret and provide advice on planning and policy issues.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports for County Government of Migori.
- In consultation with departmental heads, develop annual work plans.
- Perform any other duty that maybe assigned from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Project Planning and Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized university in Kenya. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines is an added advantage: Economics, Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Planning and Management or equivalent qualifications from a university recognized in Kenya.
- Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
- Certification in Monitoring and Evaluation will be an added advantage.
- Have at least seven (7) years professional experience in public service three (3) of which should be in a senior management position.
