Job Summary

Securex is seeking a responsible Quality Health & Safety, Environment Intern to assist in ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines and all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations. The intern will support the development of OSH policies and programs, conduct risk assessments, assist in organizing OSH training, and ensure documentation and audits are conducted regularly.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the development of OSH policies and programs
  • Assist in advising and instructing on various safety-related topics
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
  • Review existing policies and update according to legislation
  • Assist in organizing OSH training for employees and executives
  • Conduct regular internal audits and address non-conformities
  • Ensure documentation update of all operational practices
  • Record and investigate incidents, handling worker’s compensation claims
  • Coordinate health and safety meetings and training courses for all employees
  • Ensure accountability of all Fixed Assets in the company through audits
  • Advise management on all risks and mitigation measures

Minimum Requirements and Competencies

  • Degree in Occupational Safety and Health
  • Minimum of 1 year of proven practical experience in OSH
  • Computer skills
