Job Overview

As a Plant Technician (Mechanical) – Foreman, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing generators and electro-mechanical equipment. Your role ensures the safe operation of equipment to mitigate risks and enhance community welfare.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on generators and electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis, ensuring safe operations.
  • Overhaul engines and electro-mechanical components, maintaining detailed maintenance records.
  • Train Generator Assistants on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Assist in identifying future equipment needs and update repair schedules.


  • Education: Diploma in Mechanical (Plant) Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in plant maintenance, with expertise in diesel-run generators and electrical equipment.
  • Other Skills: Proficiency in English/Kiswahili, reliability, good communication, and organizational skills.
