DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Planning, managing, documenting and reporting on Government Protocol Services
- Providing Protocol and Public Relations Services and ensure that they are carried out in accordance with National and International Practices.
- Implementing activities and assignments relating to maintaining and enhancing the image of County Government.
- Facilitating movement, accommodation and appointments for County Officials and Guests.
- Preparing itineraries and agendas for County Government Officials and Guests.
- Planning Protocol Services during Official events, important meetings and receptions organized by the County Government; and ensure proper etiquette for Official engagements, and streamline interactions with dignitaries and other VIPs.
- Organizing and coordinating all County Government official Events.
- Preparing Guests lists and seating arrangements.
- Coordinating arrangements for press coverage of all County Government Official functions.
- Facilitating linkages with other Institutions and Organizations.
- Ensuring efficient and effective communication with Stakeholders and Visitors to the Office of the Governor and /or other County Government Departments.
- Facilitating appointments.
- Ensuring proper etiquette for Official engagements.
- Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time
- Performing any other functions as directed by the Director Protocol and or Chief of Staff.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields: – Business Administration, Education, Social sciences, Community Development, Political Science and Publíc Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a University recognized in Kenya.
- Supervisory Management Course or equivalent.
- Certificate in computer application from a recognized Institution.
- Demonstrated Professional competence and managerial capability as reflected in work performance and results; and
- Demonstrated a clear understanding of National Development Policies, Goals and objectives, and ability to integrate them into the Public Service Performance Management Function.
