About the SheTrades Initiative
ITC’s SheTrades Initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs worldwide by improving access to knowledge, networks, and markets. The initiative works with governments, business support organizations, and private sector stakeholders to create an inclusive, sustainable global economy that advances women’s participation in trade.
Key focus areas include:

Gender-Responsive Public Procurement (GRPP): Advocating for equitable procurement practices, addressing the fact that only 1% of government contracts go to women-owned businesses.

SheTrades Outlook (STO): A policy tool helping countries assess and improve the trade environment for women through gender-sensitive indicators and evidence-based policy-making.
Internship Description
The intern will support the SheTrades Policy and Data Team under the supervision of Associate Economic Affairs Officers. This is a remote internship. Main duties include:
A) Mobilization and Training Support

Assist in organizing online and in-person events (workshops, webinars, trade missions, policy dialogues).

Support participant outreach across various sectors and regions.

Draft and send invitations and follow-up communications in English, French, and Spanish.
B) Project Coordination

Coordinate with internal teams and external partners.

Help prepare policy briefs, meeting summaries, questionnaires, and training content.

Update and share event and training information with relevant SheTrades teams.
C) Communications
-
Work with the communications team to promote activities via social media and website updates.

Draft multilingual content for online platforms.

Create presentation materials (PowerPoint) as needed in English, French, and/or Spanish.
D) Data and Monitoring & Evaluation

Prepare and manage surveys and evaluation tools.

Maintain databases of participants and beneficiaries according to ITC guidelines.

Upload and organize documentation on ITC platforms (e.g., attendance lists, evaluation forms).
Qualifications and Skills
Education
Applicants must meet one of the following at the time of application:
-
Be enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s or equivalent).
-
Be in the final year of a Bachelor’s program.
-
Have recently graduated (within one year) from a university program.
Relevant academic backgrounds include law, business, international trade, sustainable development, or economics.
Languages

Fluency in English, French, and Spanish (written and spoken).
Technical Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and social media.

Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
