About the Role

GAIN is seeking a Webmaster Specialist to oversee the development, maintenance, and performance of GAIN and partner websites. This position, based in Nairobi or New Delhi, offers a fixed-term contract of up to 3 years, contingent upon funding availability. Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, you will enhance GAIN’s online presence, ensuring websites align with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Management: Develop, upgrade, and maintain website content, ensuring functionality and user-friendliness.
  • Design Enhancement: Create visually appealing website designs, aligning with GAIN’s branding and improving user experience.
  • Content Organization: Manage website content using CMS tools, categorizing effectively for accessibility.
  • SEO Implementation: Utilize SEO strategies to boost website visibility and organic search rankings.
  • Performance Analysis: Track website performance through tools like Google Analytics, generating reports for improvement.
  • Security Measures: Collaborate with IT to implement security protocols, safeguarding against threats.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal and external teams, ensuring website alignment with business objectives.
  • Communications Support: Assist in digital campaign planning and implementation, offering general communications support.

About You

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in web development or related fields with 5-9 years of experience. Proficiency in CMS tools like Drupal or WordPress is required, along with expertise in SEO and UX design. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural environment are essential.

About the Offer

Salaries range from KES 3,019,680 – KES 3,454,680 per annum in Kenya and INR 1,165,476 – INR 1,333,212 per annum in India, based on experience. GAIN offers comprehensive benefits, including 37 days of holiday per year, pension schemes, and insurance cover.
