IT Support Specialist (Remote/On-Site)
The IT Support Specialist will be the first line of defense in assisting employees and clients with technical issues, ensuring that all IT systems run smoothly and efficiently. He/She will provide troubleshooting support for hardware, software, networks, and security-related concerns. This role is ideal for a proactive problem solver who enjoys helping others, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support via phone, email, chat, or in-person.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and peripherals.

Monitor system performance and provide preventive maintenance.

Assist in setting up accounts, passwords, and permissions for new users.

Document technical issues and resolutions in the helpdesk system.

Escalate complex problems to higher-level support or vendors when necessary.

Support IT projects including system upgrades and migrations.
Must-Haves
-
Strong understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and networks.

Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills.

Strong communication abilities to explain technical solutions in simple terms.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests.
Valued Experience

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional.

Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop tools.

Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Freshservice, or Jira Service Desk.

Previous experience in a customer-facing IT support role.
