Network Administrator (Hybrid/On-Site)

The Network Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the organization’s computer networks to ensure reliable performance and security. He/She will install, configure, and support network hardware and software, while proactively monitoring systems to prevent outages or vulnerabilities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving, has strong technical knowledge, and thrives in a dynamic IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

  • Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Maintain user access controls and permissions.

  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery testing.

  • Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Support IT projects involving network upgrades, migrations, and integrations.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to users experiencing network-related issues.

Must-Haves

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and LAN/WAN technologies.

  • Proficiency with networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar).

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

  • Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Valued Experience

  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+.

  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, or SolarWinds.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for securing networks.

  • Experience with VoIP systems and wireless networking.
