Cybersecurity Analyst (Remote/Hybrid)

The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for protecting the organization’s digital assets by identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents. He/She will work closely with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements while implementing best practices to safeguard sensitive data. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about staying ahead of emerging cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor systems and networks for security breaches, intrusions, and unusual activity.

  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, preparing detailed reports.

  • Implement firewalls, encryption protocols, and access controls.

  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to develop and enforce security policies.

  • Provide training and awareness sessions to employees on cybersecurity best practices.

  • Keep updated on the latest security trends, tools, and attack techniques.

Must-Haves

  • Strong understanding of information security principles, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.

  • Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar.

  • Strong problem-solving and investigative skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to threats.

Valued Experience

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.

  • Experience with incident response and forensic analysis.

  • Familiarity with cloud security tools and environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or PCI DSS.

  • Previous experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) role.
